Recently appointed as the president of NIB Bank, Dr. Emibet Melese, it is heard that she has been appointed as the president of the Development Bank of Ethiopia.
As stated in the letter written by the Ministry of Finance on September 20, 2017 E.C; Dr. Emebet appointed as of on October 1, 2017 E.C. Since then, he has been appointed as the president of the Ethiopian Development Bank.
Dr. Emebet is known to have served as the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Transformation of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia before becoming the President of the Development Bank.
It will be remembered that Dr. Yohannes Ayalewu, who has been leading the policy bank for the past 4 years, has been appointed as the CEO of Amhara Bank after announcing his resignation due to personal reasons.
